Our featured speaker, Dr. Baldo Marinovic will be giving his talk, “Krill: The Crustacean Currency of the Ocean Economy”

Dr. Marinovic has been a lecturer and research biologist with the Institute of Marine Sciences at University of California, Santa Cruz for thirty years. His focus is on the dynamics of the krill population and the ocean food web within the California Current Ecosystem. Marinovic’s research has led to a better understanding of what makes Monterey Bay such a productive and biologically rich ecosystem.
